Estate auctions in the Las Vegas Valley

Sometimes an estate sale at the home isn't an option. Some communities and HOAs don't allow them, and sometimes there simply isn't enough time. An auction can be the better path — the same belongings, sold a different way.

What's included

  • A free walk-through, or an evaluation from photos if you're out of state.
  • Research and cataloguing, so each piece is described accurately.
  • Photography of the items being sold.
  • Still to confirm: auction format — online, live, or both, and which platform
  • Still to confirm: where the auction takes place, and whether items leave the home
  • Still to confirm: how long the whole process takes, start to finish
  • Still to confirm: how buyers collect what they've won, and whether items ship

How it works

  1. Call or email Lidia

Tell us about the home and any restrictions you're working around. The consultation is free.

  2. We look at what you have

We'll tell you honestly whether an auction or an estate sale will serve you better.

  3. We catalogue and photograph

Everything is researched, described, and photographed before it goes up. Still to confirm: how long this takes

  4. The auction runs

Still to confirm: describe the auction itself — format, bidding, and how long it stays open

  5. You get your share

Still to confirm: payout timing and commission for auctions

Questions families ask

What's the difference between an estate sale and an auction?

At an estate sale, everything has a price tag. We set the prices, and shoppers come through the home and buy what they want, the way they would in a shop. On higher-priced pieces, we'll take offers.

At an auction, buyers set the price by bidding. It can work better for standout pieces, or when a sale at the home isn't allowed or isn't practical.

We'll tell you which one fits your situation when we walk through the home.

What does it cost?

The consultation is free, and there's no obligation. If we take your sale, we're paid a share of what it brings in, so we only do well when you do.

Still to confirm: the commission rate, and whether we publish it — see the open question in docs/decisions.md

How long does all this take?

Still to confirm: how long staging takes, how many days the sale runs, and how far ahead sales are usually booked

Still to confirm: when you receive your share after the sale ends

We live out of state. Can you still help?

Yes, and we do it often. Families in California, and as far as 2,500 miles away, have handed a whole house to Lidia and never needed to fly in.

We can do the first evaluation from photographs, keep you updated as we go, and handle everything on the ground here.
