Questions families ask
- We don't have antiques or anything fancy. Is it still worth a sale?
Usually, yes. Ordinary homes sell better than people expect. Furniture, tools, kitchenware, linens, holiday decorations, clothing — all of it has buyers.
If a sale genuinely isn't your best option, we'll tell you that at the consultation and point you somewhere better. That happens sometimes, and it costs you nothing to find out.
- What should we do before you come?
Two things, and the second one matters more than people realize.
First, make sure you have the legal authority to sell. If there's been a death, that means having title and the paperwork that lets you dispose of the contents. If family members are taking things, it's best to settle that before we start.
Second: please don't throw anything away yet, and hold off on the donation run. We have seen families give away the most valuable things in the house before we ever got there. Clothing, shoes, handbags, and what looks like clutter are often worth real money. Let us look first.
- What does it cost?
The consultation is free, and there's no obligation. If we take your sale, we're paid a share of what it brings in, so we only do well when you do.
